RE: APPEAL OF THE DECISION TO DENY THE REMOVAL OF A PROTECTED
DAWN REDWOOD TREE @ 1360 VANCOUVER AVE. - BURLINGAME
At its meeting of February 8, 2002, the Beautification Commission voted 3 - 1 (opposed) - 1
(abstention) - 2 (absent) to deny your appeal of the denial to remove one Dawn Redwood tree at the
above address. The Commission's decision was based on the City Arborist's comments that the issues
cited can be mitigated by pruning and heading the tree back from the neighbor's property.
This decision may be appealed to the City Council in writing within 10 days of receipt of this letter
(February 20'h ).
If you have any questions regarding this matter, you may call the Parks Division at (650) 558-7330.
Sincerely,
Tim Richmond
Parks Superintendent
