this agenda will be made available for public inspection at 850 Burlingame Ave during normal business
hours.
Community Garden
Basic Implementation Guidelines
1) BBC work with City staff to identify location
2) BBC research Community gardens in other cities
Garden must be:
a) Publicly maintained
b) Publicly funded
c) Publicly monitored
3) City staff determine irrigation needs and costs for separate metering, irrigation
installation and/or adaptation
4) BBC develop and establish ongoing funding and maintenance
5) BBC develop and establish garden user requirements and guidelines
6) Park & Recreation Commission input
7) Recommendation to Council for approval prior to implementation
8) Public hearing and notification to neighborhood properties
