HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 021-2020RESOLUTION NO. 21-2020 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO VALENTINE CORPORATION FOR THE 1740 ROLLINS ROAD AND 842 COWAN ROAD PUMP STATIONS FLAP GATES REPLACEMENT PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT CITY PROJECT NO. 85830 WHEREAS, on December 19, 2019, the City issued notice inviting bid proposals for the 1740 Rollins Road and 842 Cowan Road Pump Stations Flap Gates Replacement Project, CITY Project No. 85830; and WHEREAS, on January 28, 2020, the City received seven proposals, which were opened before the City Clerk and representatives of the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, Valentine Corporation submitted the lowest responsible bid for the job in the amount of $229,369. NOW it is RESOLVED and ORDERED, that: 1. The Plans and Specifications, including all addenda, are approved and adopted; and 2. The bid of Valentine Corporation in the amount of $229,369 is accepted; and 3. A contract shall be entered into between the successful bidder and the City of Burlingame for the performance of the work, and the City Manager is authorized to execute the contract and to approve the faithful performance bond and a labor materials bond required to be furnished by the contractor.
