CITY CLERK
REVISION TO PLANNING COMMISSION RULES OF PROCEDURES
Rule V(D) of the Rules of Procedure is amended to read as follows:
D. Study items.
1. Study items are usually presented at a meeting for review by the Planning Commission
for questions to provide staff and the applicant with an opportunity to better prepare for
the public hearing on the item. The City Planner may elect to not place an application on
an agenda as a study item if the City Planner believes that the application will not generate
any controversy or substantial questions.
2. Applications involving R-1 District design review, whether they include other planning
approvals or not, are considered under a separate study procedure. During such a study
item, the applicant and other interested persons may comment on the application and the
Commission may ask questions of the applicant and other interested persons. Unlike other
study items, these R-1 District design review study items are noticed under City
procedures. Following each such design review study item, the Commission will
determine whether to refer the application to the design review professional under Chapter
25.57 or proceed directly to action at a subsequent meeting of the Commission.
