RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
ADOPTING RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING SECTION 414 (h) (2) OF THE
INTERNAL REVENUE CODE
RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURINGAME that:
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame wishes to extend the benefit of Section
414(h)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code to employees within the AFSCME Local 829;
and
WHEREAS, the Public Employees Retirement System requires that a form
resolution be adopted that cannot discuss the reasons for the adoption of the resolution or
indicate the past history of this benefit; and
WHEREAS, coherent government administration requires a history of the
process by which resolutions are considered and adopted; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 31-2000 is intended to update Resolution No -
133 -90 and to include AFSCME Local 829 within its benefits,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BURLINGAME:
1. Resolution 31-2000 implementing Section 414(h)(2) is adopted and the
Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and requested to execute it on behalf of the City of
Burlingame.

foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
6th day of March 2000, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
