RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BURLINGAME ADOPTING
FEES FOR THE USE OF THE CITY'S GOLF RANGE
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Government Code, the Burlingame City Council is
empowered to set fees for the delivery of City services, and
WHEREAS, the City's Golf Center will offer golf range services in return for the payment of
a use fee, and
WHEREAS, the City has expended in excess of $3 million on the construction of golf range
facilities for the public's use, and
WHEREAS, the City has contracted with a Golf Operator for the operation of the golf range
facility, with a fee being provided to the Operator for the operation of City's facilities, and
WHEREAS, whereas the City wishes to ensure that the facility is economically accessible to
senior citizens, residents of Burlingame, and local school golf teams, and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to open the golf range facility for public use on March 4, 2000,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Burlingame does hereby resolve,
determine and find as follows:
1. The fees to be charged by the City and by the Golf Operator on behalf of the City
shall be as described in Exhibit A hereto.
2. The City Manager shall be designated as the City's representative to approve any
future changes in the fee schedule attached as Exhibit A hereto, as described in the agreement
between VB Golf LLC and the City of Burlingame for the Operation of the City's Golf Range, dated
November 1, 1999,

Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 7th day of
February 2000 and was adopted by the following vote:

Prices for Ball Machine Vending
(No golf balls sold at the Golf Shop counter)
Small Bucket 60 balls $5.00
Large Bucket 90 balls 7.00
Extra Large Bucket 120 balls 9.00
Discount Period for Ball Machine Vending -Weekdays until 11:00 a.m. (One day per week the range
will open late so that the landfill gas emission system can be tested.) This will be the opportunity for
seniors and others who do not buy a resident discount card to practice at a reduced price.
Small Bucket 60 balls $4.00
Large Bucket 90 balls 6.00
Extra Large Bucket 120 balls 8.00
Value Discounts for Range Ball Machine Cards
For the General Public - purchase at Golf Shop only
$ 50 card gives a $55 value
$100 card gives a $115 value
(when renewed, value increases incrementally with each purchase, up to $130)
For Burlingame Residents - purchase at Recreation Center only
$ 50 card gives a $60 value
$100 card gives a $130 value
Discounts for School Teams for Ball Machine Vending - Golf teams from Burlingame High School,
Mills High School and Burlingame Intermediate School will receive free balls for all regularly scheduled
team practices.
Other Activities
Rental Clubs - 3 rental clubs may be rented for a $2.00 fee (security required)
A half set of rental clubs may be rented for a $5.00 fee (security required)
Hotel Guest Rental Clubs - Any current guest of a hotel located in Burlingame may receive
complimentary rental clubs.
Short Game Practice Area Use Fees - Includes balls and tubes for short game practice (shared time).
$3.00 per 1/2 hour $5.00 per full hour
