HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 010-2000RESOLUTION NO. 10-2000 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION OF THE CITY CLERK RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame: WHEREAS, Ann T. Musso, City Clerk, performs both elected and appointed duties in the City of Burlingame as generally set out in Exhibit A hereto; and WHEREAS, the compensation for Ms. Musso should be clearly established so that it is consistent with other officials in the City; and WHEREAS, the compensation for the Clerk's elected duties should continue to be consistent with the compensation and benefits for Councilmembers, the other elected officers of the City; and WHEREAS, the compensation for Ms. Musso's appointed duties should be consistent with the compensation and benefits for other management employees of the City and -reflect her performance in fulfilling those obligations; and WHEREAS, increases in pay for the appointed duties should also be consistent with that being given to other general employees of the City, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED: 1. As the elected City Clerk performing the duties of an elected City Clerk under the Government Code, the compensation of the City Clerk shall be the same as the City Council, including benefits provided to the Council. 2. As the person performing the duties assigned or delegated by the City Council, the compensation to be provided to Ann T. Musso, City Clerk, shall be as follows, effective January 4, 2000: Salary range: $4,828 - 5,774 per month (not including any compensation pursuant to paragraph 1 above), subject to annual cost of living or equity adjustments approved by the City Council Benefits: Retirement, health, sick leave, vacation, administrative leave, and other benefits shall be the same as those of employees represented by the Burlingame Association of Middle Managers (BAMM) MAYOR I, ANN T. Maintaining an accurate record of proceedings of Council meetings. 2. Maintaining the City Ordinance Book 3. Custodian of City seal. 4. Conducting elections 5. Receiving and forwarding Statements of Economic Interests. As assigned or delegated by the City Council: 1. Maintaining regular, full-time office hours to provide documents and information to the public. 2. Providing administrative support for appointments to City Boards and Commissions. 3. Maintaining the City's document retention system. 4. Maintaining City agreements, resolutions, bonds, and real property documents. 5. Maintaining the City's Municipal Code. 6. Receiving and opening bids for City projects and contracts. 7. Publishing notices and ordinances. R1
