HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 001-2000RESOLUTION NO. 1-2000 RESOLUTION APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE DESIGNATION OF 320-350 PRIMROSE ROAD FROM SHOPPING AND SERVICE COMMERCIAL TO OFFICE USE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame: WHEREAS, the property owners of 320-350 Primrose Road wish to have office uses on the ground floor of the property, and have applied to the City for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation on the property to allow such a use; and WHEREAS, such a use would be consistent with the land use patterns in the area and the development of the property, and would not adversely affect other property in the area; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame held a public hearing on November 8, 1999, at which time the Commission reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials and testimony presented to the Commission on this application; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposed General Plan Amendment; and WHEREAS, on December 6, 1999, the City Council held a public hearing on the proposed General Plan Amendment and received and considered all written and oral testimony presented on the matter; and WHEREAS, the City Council considered the negative declaration prepared in connection with the General Plan Amendment and approved it; and WHEREAS, on December 6, 1999, the City Council approved the General Plan Amendment proposed for 320-350 Primrose Road by a resolution combining approval of the Amendment and the underlying conditional use permit; and WHEREAS, the proposed General Plan Amendment was the first general plan amendment to the land use element of the City General Plan adopted in 1999; and WHEREAS, this Resolution is intended to separately confirm the General Plan Amendment approval so that the administration and application of the General Plan is simplified by reference to an Amendment resolution standing alone, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED: 1.
