RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME APPROVING
AGREEMENT WITH
THE BURLINGAME ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PROVIDE
CITY MAINTENANCE OF DISTRICT ATHLETIC FIELDS
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the City has been providing the maintenance for some of the Burlingame Elementary
School District's fields for the past few years pursuant to an agreement between the City and the District;
and
WHEREAS, this arrangement has made it possible for the District to keep fields open for
community use; and
WHEREAS, the District is willing to extend this agreement and to allow community use of
Franklin, McKinley, Roosevelt, and Burlingame Intermediate Schools fields; and
WHEREAS, the City is willing to provide maintenance services pursuant to the terms of the
proposed agreement; and
WHEREAS, the voters of the District have failed to provide the funding needed to pay for these
maintenance services, so the proposed agreement waives this payment until a future date at the City's
determination so that the fields can remain available for community use,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement for Maintenance of
Athletic Fields at Franklin, McKinley, and Roosevelt Elementary Schools and Burlingame Intermediate
School as contained in Exhibit A hereto.
2. The Clerk is directed to attest to the signature of the Manager.

resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 3rd day of December 2001,
and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
