A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME APPROVING
THE ADDITION OF ONE NEW FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT MANAGEMENT ANALYST
POSITION
WHEREAS, the current Finance Division staffing is insufficient to adequately meet the
City's financial service needs; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for focused resources for the budget process, development of
City-wide financial reports, and assistance in identifying financial trends and anomalies at the City
level; and
WHEREAS, the addition of a 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) Management Analyst position
in the Finance Department will enable staff to meet increased demands for staff time; and
WHEREAS, the annual cost of the additional position is approximately $162,000; and
WHEREAS, the amount of additional appropriation needed to fund the position for the
remainder of the current fiscal year will be determined and requested as part of the Mid -Year
Report for Fiscal Year 2019-20; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate bargaining unit has reviewed the proposed change and has
not brought forth any objections or concerns.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Burlingame finds,
orders and declares that:
The Council approves the addition of a 1.0 FTE Management Analyst position in the Finance
Department.

resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 18t' day of
November 2019, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
