RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR SPECIFIED CITY MAINTENANCE OF STATE
HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) does not have the
funding or personnel to perform the level of maintenance and upkeep on local State highways that
citizens expect and that the City wishes; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans is willing to provide a specified level of funds to the City for the City
to provide sweeping of State Route 82 (El Camino), abate weeds along Highway 82, and maintain
certain electrical facilities along Highways 82 and 101; and
WHEREAS, the attached agreement establishes the relationships between Caltrans and the
City for these services,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement for Maintenance
of State Highways with the City of Burlingame contained in Attachment A hereto.
2. The Clerk is directed to attest to the signature of the Manager.

2001, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
