A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME REJECTING
ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE RAY PARK FIELD RENOVATIONS,
CITY PROJECT NO.85750, AND AUTHORIZING RE -ADVERTISING FOR THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame Capital Improvement Program includes the
renovation of the athletic field at Ray Park; and
WHEREAS, on August 19, 2019, the City issued a notice inviting sealed bids for the
contract for the Ray Park Field Renovations Project; and
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2019, all bids were opened before the City Clerk and
representatives of the Parks & Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the City received six bids with base bids ranging from $1,343,609 to
$1,855,000; and
WHEREAS, after review of the bid documents, staff determined that the project
specifications and special provisions may create problems during construction that could impact the
timeline and, therefore, significantly impact the Burlingame Girls Softball spring season.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
RESOLVES AND ORDERS, that all bids received are rejected; all bonds and security received in
connection with the bids received shall be returned to the bidders; and the Director of Parks and
Recreation is authorized to rebid the project in accordance therewith.

resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 7th day of October,
2019, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
