A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME APPROVING A
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE AFSCME LOCAL 829
ADMINISTRATIVE MAINTENANCE UNIT AND THE CITY OF BURLINGAME, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE MEMORANDUM ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AND
APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE CITY OF BURLINGAME SALARY SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, the AFSCME Local 829 Maintenance Unit represents 60 employees across
the Public Works Department and the Parks Division of the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the AFSCME Local 829 Maintenance Unit's Memorandum of Understanding
expired on June 30, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME Local 829 have met and conferred in good faith on the
terms and conditions of employment as provided by State law; and
WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME Local 829 have reached agreement on changes to be
made to the existing terms and conditions of employment and Memorandum of Understanding
between the City and the AFSCME Local 829 Maintenance Unit; and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes are fair and are in the best interests of the public and
the employees represented by the AFSCME Local 829 Maintenance Unit; and
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame Salary Schedule has been revised in accordance with
these actions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The changes in existing salary and benefits of the employees represented by the AFSCME
Local 829 Maintenance Unit as contained in the Memorandum of Understanding between the
AFSCME Local 829 Maintenance Unit and the City of Burlingame are approved.
2. The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute the Memorandum of Understanding
between the AFSCME Local 829 Maintenance Unit and the City of Burlingame.
3. The City Council authorizes and adopts the City of Burlingame Salary Schedule.

resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 19th day of August
2019, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
