WHEREAS,San Mateo Transit is operating u.. motor bus service ras a. common c�.rrier of passengers in the City of Burlingame, which service is very necessary to the City of Burlingame and, WHEREAS, San Mateo Transit also renders a similar service in the City of San Mateo which is contiguous to the City of Burlingame and, WHEREAS, Sa n Mateo Trans it also renders an interurban service between the Cities of Burlingame and San Mateo over High- way 101 and is now desirous of also extending its interurban service between the Cities of Burlingame and San Mateo and along California -San Mateo Drive as an extension of its present service, and has filed with the Railroad Commission of the State of California. Application No. 22209 to render interurban service across Peninsula Avenue along California. -San Mateo Drive and, WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame desires to have this service installed across Peninsula Avenue along California. -San Mateo Drive and is of the opinion that this proposed service, as an extension of the existing service of San Mateo Transit, is necessary in the public interest, Nolo, Th REF0Fh j BE IT RESOLVED, That the City of Bur- lingame, through its City Council, officially go on record in support of the granting by the Bailroa.d Commission of said App- lication No. 22209, a.nd that the Mayor and City Attorney be re- quested to appear before the Railroad Commission of the StrIte of California. at the hearing upon said application sand urge that said application be granted so that the bus service proposed by San Mateo Transit along California -San Mateo Drive and across Peninsula Avenue may be established.
