RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Burlingame deem
it to be for the best and public interests of the City that a
comprehensive and analytical study be made, having for its object
the establishment of alley -ways on the north and south sides of
Burlingame Avenue and the north and south sides of Broadway,
from E1 Camino Real to California Drive, and also the possible
acquisition of areas for parking in the said business districts,
and for the purpose of appraising the value of the lands to be
effected, believe expert assistance should be obtained therefor:
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED: That a contract be entered into
with Edward R. Martin and he be employed and authorized to make
the study and appraisal of the land to be acquired for the uses
herein set forth; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of Two Thousand
Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($2,250.00) be fixed as the maximum cost
to be expended therefor, said sum to be paid out of the General
Fund upon completion of the study and appraisement and report to
the City Council.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted on the 23rd day of
September, 1940, by the following vote:
