RESOLUTION ORDERING DESTRUCTION OF

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Burlingame;

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Burlingame on
arch 3, 1941, at a regular meeting of said Council, adopted a
Resolution declaring certain weeds growing upon various streets,
squares, lanes, alleys, avenues, courts and places within said
municipality, and upon private property within said municipality,
which said weeds bear seeds of wingy or downy nature and with such
large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, and are other-
wise obnoxious and dangerous, to constitute a public nuisance;
and,
VEHEREAS, said Resolution fixed Yonday, the 7th day of
April, 1941, at the hour of eight o'clock P. Tv . of said day, at
the Council Chambers of the City Council of the City of
Burlingame, located in the City hall of said City, as the time
and place wilen objections to the proposed removal of such weeds
s Lall be heard and given due consideration; and,
WHEREAS, it appears from the Affidavit of the
Superintendent of Streets of said City that notice of said hear_
ing has been given for the time and in the manner and form provided
by lady; and,
IxJTiEREAS, it appearing that no objections to the proposed
removal of such weeds were presented;
IiCld, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Burlinr7wTie that the Superintendent of Streets of the
City of 3urlingame be, and he is hereby, directed to remove and
eradicate, or cause to be removed and eradicated, such weeds as
described in the Resolution of Lntention Massed and adopted herein
on Mlarch 3, 1941;

And said Superintendent of Streets of said City of
Burlingame is hereby authorized and directed to fix the costs of
such removal and eradication of weeds, and in the event of any
delinquency of the payment of any of said costs, to report the same
to the Tax Collector of the City of Burlingame so that said costs
may be collected in the manner provided by law.
I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of
the Resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of
Burlingame, State of California, at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 7th day of April, 1941, by the following vote of the
members thereof.
