TIRE1:0NT PAY FOR CITY EITLOMS TO THE
ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF BURLINGME, TO
BE VOTM) ON IN TIM 11MICIPAL ELECTION TO
BE MLD APRIL 142 1942
MAREAS, tae City Council of the City of Burlingame has
been considering participation in the California State Employee's
Retirement System, for the employees of the City, and have caused
an investigation of the approximate cost thereof to be made; and,
T-MMEAS, the City Council will, if the electors of the
City desire, proceed as provided by later, to make provision for
the participation in said system for the retirement pay for the
City employees;
NOS"T, TIEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Burlingame does hereby resolve to submit to the electors of the
City, and there shall be placed upon the ballot at the 1,Iunicipal
Election to be held in said City April. 14, 1942, the following
proposition, to--vrit:
"Shall the City Council of the City of
Burlingame proceed to bring the employees of the
City under the State Employee i s Retirement System,
for the purpose of establishing retirement pay for
said City omployees?"
The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council held March 9, 1942, and adopted by
the vollwing vote:

Noes: Councilmen
Absent: Councilmen
