RESOLUIT ON NO*
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the U i ty of
Burlingame:
That any employee of the City of Burlingame taken from the
eligible Civil Service list and given employment in the City to
take the place of any employee called into the ;: ilitary or Naval
Service of the United States during the present war, shall hold
his Civil Service rating and position, provided that he passes
the probationary period, until the employee, whose place he has
filled, returns to the City for municipal service, as provided by
the ordinances of the City;
AND � E IT FURTHER RESOL�FED that any substitute employee,
upon the return of the principal employee, unless other provision
therefor have been made, shall be restored to the Civil Service
eligible list, junior only to any who may have preceded said
substitute employee in similar appointment to temporarily replace
regular employees called to the Military or Naval Service.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Burlingame
held on May 40 1942s by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Burrows-Coleman-Dahl-Hnt-Roth
Noes: Councilmen : None
Absent: Councilmen: None
