WHEREAS, public utilities, from time to time, request
permission of the City Council to establish poles on city streets,
lanes, ways and alleys, for the purpose of placing their wires
thereon; and,
WHEREAS, the requirements of the City Police and Fire
Departments are such that wires are also necessary to be placed
on poles;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Burlingame, at a regular meeting held on May 18, 1942, does here-
by resolve, for the purpose of establishing a policy,to refuse
permission to public utilities to place and establish poles on
the streets, lanes, ways and alleys within the City until and
unless said public utilities agree to permit the said poles to be
used by the Police and Fire Departments of the City of Burlingame
for the purpose of placing their wires on such poles, whenever
necessary.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the Gity of Burlingame held on
May 18, 1942, and adopted by the following vote;
Ayes; Councilmen Coleman, Dahl, Hunt and Roth
Noes; Councilmen None
