RESOLVED by the City Council, City of Burlingame, that the Budget for the Fire Department for the fiscal year 1942-43 be increased in a total amount of two hundred and forty (4240.00) dollars, and that this amount be allocated to providing ten ($10.00 per month additional salaries for Firemen Joseph Fens. and John Kidd inasmuch as they were appointed under the original regulations of the Fire Department establishing rates of pay and providing that after six months service those who satisfactorilly qualified were to receive one hundred and eighty ($lBO.00) dollars per month. s regulation will no longer apply and future salary provisions will be made on a different basis. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that without any increase in the Budget of the Recreation Department the City Treasurer is author- ized to pay Shirley Smith two thousand ($2,000.00) dollars salary for the fiscal year 1942-43, and Caroline Fisher twelve hundred (•,1,200.00) dollars salary for the fiscal year 1942-43, and that the difference between the salaries established in the Budget and exclusively the above mentioned salaries shall be providefoy economies in other items under the Recreation Department Budget provision. The foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Burlingame held on September 28, 1942, and adopted by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen Burrows, Coleman,Dahl, Hunt Roth NOES, Councilmen ABSENT, Counci ATTEST: None �C�erk - ---
