WHEREAS, the citizens of the City have demonstrated
their loyalty and patriotism by over -subscribing the cityls
quota in the purchase of United States War Bonds and also by
greatly exceeding the prescribed amount of the cityfs share
of the Second War Loan; and
GdHERFAS, these desired accomplishments could not
have been achieved without the unceasing and untiring efforts
of the two committees of citizens in charge
THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Burlingame
at a regular meeting thereof held on May 11, 1943, expressing
a universal sentiment, do resolve that congratulations and
appreciation are hereby extended to the War Savings Committee
and the Second War Loan Committee and all residents of the
city who so willingly aided and assisted in bringing the afore-
mentioned achievements to a most successful conclusion; that
commendation and praise be hereby extended to all who volun-
tarily assumed responsibility for accomplishing the task; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an announcement of this
record be given to the public press that the citizens may have
due notice thereof.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Burlingame on the
date above mentioned, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN BURROWS. COLEMAN. DAHL HUNT ROTH
NOES: COUNCILMEN NONE
ABSENT COUNCILMEN NONE
