WHEREAS it appears to the City Council that in the
interest of safety and expeditious movement of vehicle traffic
on the E1 Camino Real, that new signals be installed at the
intersection of Ray Drive, Rosedale Avenue and Adeline Drive and
the El Camino Real and the signal at Floribunda Avenue be
modernized; and
WHEREAS, the State Highway Commission recently author-
ized at least a four -fifths (4/5ths) vote of the City Council
to expend the 1/4� gas tax fund outside of the city limits;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Burlin-
game does hereby resolve and order:
That the City of Burlingame does hereby authorize the
expenditure of the 1/4y gas tax funds outside of the city limits
of the city for the purpose of installing new traffic signals
at the intersection of Ray Drive with the E1 Camino Real; Rose-
dale Avenue with the El Camino Real; Adeline Drive with the El
Camino Real and modernize the signal at Floribunda Avenue and
the El Camino Real.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the work be done pursuant
to the terms and specifications of project 25 of the memorandum
of agreement for state highways, and project 26 of the agreement
'for streets of major importance.
