WHEREAS, Oscar Jack Hanson, doin business under the firm
and style of "Checker Cab Co." in the City of Burlingame, in
transporting passengers and baggage for hire on the 4th day of
March, 1946, made application to the City Council of the City
of Burlingame, for a certificate of public convenience and ne-
cessity pursuant to the requirements of the Ordinance Code of
the City of Burlingame, as set forth in Ordinance No. 417; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave notice of the hearing of said
application as required by said Ordinance and as appears from
the Affidavit of Publication of said notice filed herein; and
WHEREAS, April 1, 1946, at the hour of B o'clock, P. M.
was fixed as the time end place for the hearing of said appli-
cation, and the matter coming on regularly before the Council
for hearing at the time specified in said notice, and the hear-
ing having been had and no one appearing to prote9t the grant-
ing of said application;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Burlingame
does hereby resolve that certificate of public convenience and
necessity be granted to the applicant for ten taxicabs which
they may use in the course of the conduct of the business, and
that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized to issue
said certificate to the applicants pursuant to this Resolution.

at a regular meeting of the Burlingame City Council, held on the
4th day of Yriarch, 1946, by the following vote:
