DECLARING RESULT OF IVIUNI CIPAL -ELECTION
1946
WHEREAS, a general municipal elsction was held in the
City of Burlingame on Tuesday, the 9th day of April, 1946, and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly
(given as required by law; that voting precincts were duly
established; that election officers were appointed and voting
supplies furnished, and in every respedt and manner the said
election was held and conducted, and the votes cast were received
within the time, and manner prescribed by the law of the State
of California controlling elections in cities of the sixth
class; and
viHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Burlingame duly
convened at the usual place on Tuesday, the 16th day of April,
194� to canvass the returns of said election and install the
newly elected officers, and as a result of such canvass, the
said City Council finds that the number of votes cast, the
persons for whom such vote was cast, and all other matters re-
quired by law, are as hereinafter stated:
I10.4, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the said election held in the City of Burlingame
on Tuesday, the 9th day of _;pril, 1946, was conducted in the
time, manner and form required by the law of the State of
California governing elections in cities of the dixth class;

That there were eleven (Tl) voting precincts established
for the purpose of holding said election, said precincts being
a consolidation of the regular election precincts established
f)r holding general state and county elections and were con-
solidated as follvs:

Precincts Numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Voting Precinct "B" comprised of State and County
rrecincts Numbers 20, 21, 35, 46, and 47.
Voting Precin t "C" comprised of State and County
rrecincts Numbers 6, 7, 8, 9, and 14.
Voting Precinct "D" comprised of State and County
Precincts Numbers 10, 11, 12, and 13.
Voting Precinct "E" comprised of State and County
Precincts Numbers 15, 161, 17, and 22,
Voting Precinct "F" comprised of State and County
Precincts Numbers 18, 19, 23, and 24.
Voting Precinct "G" comprised of State and County
Precincts Numbers 25, 26, 27, and 32.
Voting Precinct "H" comprised of State and County
Precincts Numbers 33, 44, 45, and 48.
Voting Precinct "I" comprised of State and County
Precincts Numbers 349 369 42, and 43,
Voting Precinct "J" comprised of State and County
Precincts iIumbers 28, 29, 30, and 31.
Voting Precinct "K" comprised of State and County
Precincts Numbers 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41.
That the total nui-nber of votes cast in said consolidated
Drecincts was

proposed new charter for the City of Burlingame," passed.

ARTHUR W. CRIEe. , ALFRED R. DOERING, N. E. DOLE, CORA E. FINGER,
JOHN C. FORSYTHE, ASA W. FR�ZIER, EDWARD HEVEY, JR. ROBERT
HIGGINS, ANTH014Y A. HOCK, RICHARD C. LEW13, J. ED.YCCLELLAN,
were elected to act as a Board of Freeholders.
That at said general municipal election, PROPOSITION NO. 2
"Shall the Ordinance establishing the City Tanager form of
government for the City of Burlingame, providing for the appoint-
ment of a City Manager, and defining his duties and powers be
adopted?" was defeated.
I, Herbert K. iNhite, do hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was introduced at a meeting of the Burlingame City
Council, held to canvass the election returns, and adopted by
the following vote:
