HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 037-1945RESOLUTION IVO. 37-45 WEEREAS, the City Council of the City of Burlingame on March 19, 1945, adopted resolution 4-45 requiring the destruction ana abatement of all dangerous and noxious weeds on all streets, public places and private property in the City of Burlingame and directed the Superintendent of Streets to carry the order of said Resolution into effect; and, WHEREAS, the said Superintendent of Streets fully completed all of the work directed to him to be done by the aforesaid Resolution 4-45; and, NEEREAS, the said Superintendent of Streets filed in the office of the City Clerk a report of the work done and the charges to be made against each separate property upon which said work was done; and, WHEREAS, the City Council fixed Londay, the 17th day of September, 1945, at the hour of eight o'clock p. m. and the Council Chamber of the Council as the time and place wherein and whereby all persons affected might protest the amount of the abatement assessment and further directed that the notice of said hearing be given by publication in the Burlingame hdvance, a newspaper of genera- circulation in the City of Burlingame for two separate days before the hearing; and, Iii& LEAS, it appears from the affidavit of publication on file herein that the notice was pkblished as required by Resolution 31-45 and that the Council now has full and cos�plete jurisdiction in the matter, and no protest having been presented to the City Council; M 2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the repot of the Superintendent of Streets herein referred to and filed herein be, and the same is hereby confirmed, and the amounts therein stated are fixed as the assessment due from the respective owners of the properties therein specified; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a lien is hereby created against the several properties mentioned in the said report for the amounts therein stated as due from the owners of the respective properties and that if the said amounts are not paid prior thereto, the said several amounts shall be set forth in the tax bills of the city and collected at the same time that the taxes are collected, and that the Tax Collector of the City is hereby directed to place said amounts on the tax bills and col]e ct such amounts at the time the said taxes are collected.
