A Resolution of the City of Burlingame urging
the State Legislature to allocate �90, 000, 000,
of State surplus funds to cities and counties
to assist in constructing essential public works
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame, during the
recent war period, was unable to carry into effect certain
public improvements that had theretofore been contemplated, and
WHEREAS, now that labor and materials will soon be
available to complete these very much needed repairs and public
improvements consisting principally of repairing and imnroving
major streets, constructing and maintaining storm drains,
sub fire station, fire alarm extensions, and constructing a
new reservoir for the purpose of supplying water to a largely
increased population.
NO t THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Burlingame that the Legislature of the State of
California be requested to make an appropriation of $90,000,000,
out of State surplus funds, to be allocated to cities and
counties for the purpose of constructing and instituting such
projects as may be necessary for the public interest and welfare,
in which the State of California has an interest,
The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Burlingame held on
December 17, 1945, and adopted by the following vote:
