DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC INTEREST AND
NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION, CO?-
STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF CERTAIN
PUBLIC IMPROVEIVENTS
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
State of California, that it be, and it is hereby ordered and
determined as follows:.
SECTION 1. - That the public interest and necessity demand
the following:
1. (a) The construction and completion of a building
for a branch fire station upon property presently owned by this
City or upon property which shall be acquired therefor, said
building to be equipped with all facilities for living quarters
for firemen therein employed.
. (b) The construction and completion together with
the purchase of the necessary equipment therefor of a drill
tower.
The estimated cost of construction and completion
of the aforesaid imorovements, including the cost of acquisition
of any property required therefor is ,65,000.00.
2. (a) The purchase and acquisition for use in the
Fire Department of the following equipment:
(1) One 75 foot aerial ladder.
(2) Two one -thousand gallon pumpers.
(3) One tank or fog wagon.
All of the foregoing being motor propelled.
(4) Tools and hose used in the Fire Department.
The estimated cost of the foregoing equipment
is q�80,000.00.
3. (a) The acquisition, construction and completion
of improvements to the present fire alarm system of the City
of Burlingame by the installation of an enlarged switchboard;
the installation of new fire boles and fire alarm equipment.
The estinated cost of the foregoing fire alarm

SECTIOIT 2. - That said acquisitions and improvements
are necessary to carry out the objects, purposes and the powers
of the City of Burlingame.
SECTION 3. - That the cost of said acquisitionsand for

of the ordinary annual income and revenue of the City of
