CALLING SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD DECEYBER
7, 1948, IN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME FOR THE
PURPOSE OF INCURRING A BONDED INDEBTEDNESS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Burlingame on
Odtober 6, 1948, adopted Resolution No. 4 7-48, determining
that public interest and necessity demand the acquisition,
construction and completion of certain public improvements to
the Fire Department in the City of Burlingame, and that the
cost of said acquisition and completion of said improvements
will be too great to be paid for out of the ordinanry annual
income and revenue of the City; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of law a Special Election
is necessary to be submitted to the voters of the City of
Burlingame, the proposition of authorizing the issuance of
bonds in the sum of v170,000.00 for the acquisition, con-
struction and completion of said improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HERBY RESOLVED, ordered and directec
that a Special Election be held in the City of Burlingame on
Tuesday, the 7th day of December, at which election shall be
submitted to the qualified electors of said City the question
of incurring a bonded indebtedness by the City in the sum of
$170,000.00 for the objects and purposes set forth in
Resolution No. 47-48.
