DECLARING THE RESULT OF ELECTIO11T HELD
IN "SKYLIT-M i tANOR' COUNTY OF SAN I'iA TEO ,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ON THE QUESTION OF
ANNEXATION OF THAT SUBDIVISION TO THE
CITY OF BURLINGAME

WHEREAS, an election was held, as required by law,
on Friday, May 140 1948, in the territory of San L1ateo County,
State of California, known as "Skyline is?anor", for the purpose
of submitting the proposition of annexation of that territory
to the City of Burlingame, and which said territory was
particularly described in the ballots used in. said election; and
WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was
duly and regularly given, designating the voting precinct and
the place at which the polls would be open for such election
in said territory so proposed to be annexed; that election
officers were appointed consisting of two judges and one
inspector all of whom were qualified electors of the voting
precinct, and election supplies were furnished and in all
respects said election was held and conducted and the votes were
received and canvassed and the returns thereof made, determined
and declared in the time, form and manner as required by law of
the State of California; and
iVRLEAS, upon the ballots used at such elect4_or there
was printed the words, "Shall 'Skyline Manor' be annexed to the
City of -Burlingame?" and opposite these words there was printed
the words "YS" and "NO", and to the right of each of these
last two words there was a voting square; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the election officers
immediately upon the closing of the polls counted the ballots,
made up, certified and sealed the ballots and tally sheets cast
at the polling place in the m@knner prescribed by the law of the
State of California relating to general elections, and thereupon
delivered the ballots, tally sheets and returns to the City
Clerk of the City of Burlingame; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Burlingame
duly convened at the Council Chambers, Monday, June 7, 1948,
being the time of its regular meeting next after the date of
the aforesaid election to canvass the returns of said election
and at such meeting completed the canvass of said returns;
NOVI, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved and ordered
as follows:
1. That the said election held in "Skyline IVianor"
on the 14th day of May, 1948, was conducted in the time, manner
and form required by the election laws of the State of California.
2. That there was one voting precinct established
for the purpose of holding said election, said precinct having
been heretofore established in Ordinance No. 464 of the City
of Burlingame.
3. That the total number of votes cast at said
election was 26; that the number of votes received for and in
favor of the annexation of "Skyline Manor" to the City of
Burlingame was 26 and that there were no votes cast against the
proposition of annexing "Skyline manor" to the City of
Burlingame; that the vote for annexation was unanimous.
4. That there were no absentee ballots, none having
been called for and that a canvass of the votes cast at the
aforesaid election has been held as required by law.
5. That the City Clerk shall cause a record to be made
and entered upon the minutes of this meeting, stating the
proposition submitted and showing the whole number of votes cast
thereon in the territory proposed to be annexed, the number of
votes cast therein in favor of annexation, and the number of
votes cast therein against annexation.

Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was introduced igt a regular meeting of the Burlingame City
Council held on June 7, 1948 and adopted by the following; vote:
