WHEREAS the construction and maintenance of a harbor
at Pillar Point, near Half Moon Bay, California, would afford
a haven for light draft vessels, as well as afford an opportunity
to increase coastal maritime commerce; and,
WHEREAS such a harbor would be of prime importance in
case of a national emergency, and the people of Burlingame
appreciate the impelling necessity for such establishment at
said location;
THERE MRE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Burlingame, that the project mentioned in the
premises be endorsed, and that the proper authorities be
advised of this action, and that such authorities be urged
to recommend favorable action in establishing a protective
harbor at the aforesaid Pillar Point.
