NQTICE OF ELECTION
Notice is hereby given that a General Municipal Election
will be held in the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo,
State of California, on Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 1948,
for the following offices:
Three (3) Councilmen for full term of four (4) years.
A Clerk for the term of four (4) years.
A Treasurer for the term of four (4) years.
The following measures shall be submitted to the voters of
the City of Burlingame:
1. Shall the City of Burlingame incur a bonded
indebtedness in the principal amount of $1709000.00
for the acquisition, construction and completion
of a fire station and drill tower, and the purchase
of equipment.
2. Shall the City of Burlingame incur a bonded
indebtedness in the principal amount of $155,000.00
for construction of improvements to the public
recreational facilities of the City.
3. Shall an Ordinance be adopted authorizing the
levy of a tax not to exceed fifteen (15) cents
on one hundred dollars ($100.00) of valuation
for the purpose of maintaining city parks, trees
and for advertising nd music.

There will be fifteen`¢ ) voting precincts for the purpose
of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation of the
regular election precincts established for holding State and
County elections, as follows:
Consolidated Voting Precinct "A" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 1, 2 and 3, and the voting place thereof
shall be at the Kolte Garage, 131 Dwight Road.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 4, 5 and 6, and the voting place thereof
shall be at the Washington School, Howard Avenue, between Anita
Road and Arundel Road.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "C" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 35, 46 and 47.4nd the voting place
thereof shall be at the High School, Carolan Avenue.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 20, 21, 49 and 50, and the voting place
thereof shall be at the Miller Residence, 1000 Oak Grove Avenue.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "E" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 7, 8, 9 and 14, and the voting place
thereof shall be at the City Hall, 267 Park Road.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "F" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 10, 11, 12 and 13, and the voting place
thereof shall be at the Pershing School, Newlands Avenue.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "G" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 15, 16, and 17, and the voting place
thereof shall be at the Bannerot Garage, 512 Primrose Road.

Consolidated Voting Precinct "H" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 18, 19, 222 23 and 24, and the voting
place thereof shall be at the McKinley School, E1 Camino Real
and Oak Grove Avenue .
Consolidated Voting Precinct "I" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 25, 26 and 27, and the voting place
thereof shall be at the Park Store, 1230 Broadway,
Consolidated Voting Precinct "J" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 32, 33 and 51, and the voting place
thereof shall be at Judge Finger's Court, 1202 Capuchino Avenue.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "K" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 44, 45, 48 and 52, and the voting place
thereof shall be at the Coolidge School, Paloma and Grove Avenues,
Consolidated Voting Precinct "L" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 28, 29, 30 and 31, and the voting place
thereof shall be at the Roosevelt School, Vancouver Avenue and
Broadway.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "M" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 34, 4, 53 and 54, and the voting place
thereof shall be at the Burlingame Branch Library, 1800 Easton
Drive,
Consolidated Voting Precinct "N" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 36, 37 and 38, and the voting place there
shall be at the Miller Garage, 1305 Bernal Avenue.
Consolidated Voting Precinct t40" shall comprise State and
County Precinct numbers 39, 400 41 and 42, and the voting place
thereof shall be at the Rudisill Garage, 1435 Carlos Avenue,
corner Hale Drive.
Notice is also hereby further given that at said election
the polls will be open from the hour of 7:00 A. M. to 7:00 P. M.
on the day thereof; that during said hours said election will be
held and conducted at the legally designated polling places in
each election precinct in said City of Burlingame, as above set
forth and that the names of the several persons who have been
appointed to serve as election officers for the conduct of said
election in their respective election precincts, as named,
selected and designated by the City Council of said City as pro-
vided by law, are as follows, to -wit:
