AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF V 11EREAS, on March 11, 1948s there was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Burlingame a petition_ asking that the territory hereinafter described, and which is corm.ionly known as "Skyline Irlanor," be annexed to the City of Burlingame; and, WEREAS, it now appears that all of the proceedings leading up to the filing of the petition have been pursued as required by law; NOSI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame, and it does hereby declare its intention and give notice thereof, to call a Special Election on May 7, 1948 and submit to the electors residing in the territory proposed by such petition to be annexed to the City of Burlingame, whether such territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of said City of Burl ingar�ie, and if so annexed, whether such new territory after such annexation shall be subject to taxation, equally with the property within said City of Burlingame, to pay the outstanding bonded indebtedness of said City of Burlingame. The territory above referred to and so proposed to be annexed to the City of Burlingame is designated as "Skyline Manor;' is situated in the County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which is the intersection of the Northeasterly line of the State Highways commonly known as Skyline Boulevard, with the northerly boundary of that subdivision knovvm as Burlingame Planor, recorded in Book 26 of iiaps at "Pages 15 and 16, in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo, on September 12, 1946, and marked by a 6 inch concrete monument, inscribed "24-1311', being a survey monument of the TAills Estate, Inc.; thence westerly across Skyline Boulevard, South 520 191 ;,,test, a distance of 81.18 feet to the southwesterly line of the Skyline Boulevard, opposite Engi neerts Station 612 plus 31.89; thence along the southwesterly line of Skyline Boulevard, South 270 55t East, a distance of 309.84 feet to a curve; thence along the are of a curve to the left of radius 1940 feet, a distance of 212.75 feet; thence tangent to said curve South 340 12► East, a distance of 131.14 feet, more or Less, to an intersection with the northerly boundary of Skyline Janor, as shown on the map entitled "Tract No. 522, Skyline vlanor", which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County on September 12, 1939, in Volume 22 of IAaps at Page 25; thence along the said northerly* boundary of Skyline I.ianor, South 480 48T West, a distance of 368.29 feet, to the westerly line of said Skyline Manor; thence along said westerly line of Skyline Manor, South 480 411 10" East, a distance of 461.91 feet; thence continuing along said viesterly lire and its extension, South 340 121 East, a distance of 1152.88 feet; thence North 350 16' East, a distance of 266.96 feet to the southwesterly line of Skyline Boulevard, opposite Engineer's Station 634 plus 32.50; thence easterly across the Skyline Boulevard, North 550 481 East, a distance of 80 feet to the northeasterly line of Skyline Boulevard; thence along the northeasterly line of Skyline Boulevard, North 340 12T West, a distance of 1682.41 feet to a curve; thence along the are of a curve to the right of radius of 1860 feet, a distance of 203.98 feet; thence tangent to said curve North 270 55' West, a distance of 323.62 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. BE IT 7JRTIER RESOLVED, that the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., on the 5th day of April 1948, and the Council Chambers in the City at Burlingame, California, are hereby fixed as the time and e when and where any person owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be published in the Burlingame Advance, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Burlingame, once a week for two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing on April 5, 1948.
