ACCEPTING THE IMPROVED STREETS, SANITARY SEWERS,
STORM DRAINS, WATER DISTRIBUTION LINES AND
SERVICES, ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHTS AND UNDER-
GROUND CIRCUITS, PEDESTRIAN WAYS, CURBS, GUTTERS
AND SIDEWALKS, AS THE SAME HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED
AND INSTALLED IN RAY PARK, A LEGAL SUBDIVISION
OF TIE CITY OF BURLINGAME, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, Milton S. Ray and Rae Carolyn Ray, his wife,
being then the owners of certain uninhabited land lying
adjacent to and north of the City of Burlingame, filed a
petition requesting that said land be annexed to the City
of Burlingame, and offered as an inducement and consideration
for such annexation of said land to the City, that the owners
would at their own cost and expense make all necessary public
Improvements pursuant to the Cityls specification and
inspection; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Burlingame,
conducted a proceeding terminating in the annexation of said
land known as "Ray Park", and which said territory is now a
part of said City; and
WHEREAS; Theo. G. Meyer & Sons, a corporation, the
successor in interest to the aforesaid Milton S. Ray and Rae
Carolyn Ray, have completed all of said public improvements,
including improved streets, sanitary sewers, storm drains,
water distribution lines and services, ornamental street
lights and underground circuits, pedestrian ways, curbs,
gutters and sidewalks on the following public streets in said
area known as Ray Park, as the same appear on a map thereof,
recorded April 16, 1941, in the office of the County Recorder
of the County of San Mateo, State of California, and filed
in Book 23 of Maps at Pages 45 to 48, inclusive, to wit:
Albemarle Way; Balboa Way; Coronado Way; Lassen Way; Marco
Polo Way; McDonald Way; Monte Corvino Way; Quesada Way;
Valdivia iJay; Valdivia Court; Hayward Way; Hayward Court;
Davis Drive; Davis Court; Devereux Drive; Ray Drive; Ray
Court; Bernal Avenue, and have requested that the aforesaid
improvements be accepted by the City of Burlingame; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Burlingame
has made a complete and thorough inspection of all of said
improvements and has found that the same comply with
standard City specifications and now recommends that all of
the aforementioned public improvements be accepted by the
City of Burlingame, with full responsibility for their
maintenance and repair;
NOJ'd, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, and the City Council
of the City of Burlingame does hereby order, that all of the
public improvements in Ray Park, specifically mentioned in
the premises herein be, and the same are hereby accepted,
and from and after the date of the passage of this resolution,
the responsibility for the maintenance and repair of said
improvements in said area, commonly known and designated as
Ray Park, shall be with the City of Burlingame.

regular meeting of the City Council held August 1, 1949 by the
