REPORTS
A. Parks & Recreation Department Report — In addition to the attached report,
Director Schwartz updated the Commission on two items:
1. The Murray Field dedication ceremony was very well attended and well
received.
2. Caltrans made a presentation on the El Camino Real trees at the last City
Council meeting and conducted a field tour on April 10th.
B. Commissioners
1. Chairman Larios reported that the subject of City assistance to replace
windscreens and nets at the Burlingame High School tennis courts was
discussed at the last BHS Athletic Booster meeting. He also reported that
some of the nets need replacing and that the Peninsula Tennis Club
recently installed some windscreens, but not enough to completely
encircle the courts. Schwartz stated the City has always provided the
tennis nets due to the public's use of the courts and that, if the Principal
requests, the Department will determine if funds for both screens and nets
can be found in the budget.
