Transmitted herewith is a summary of bids received September 18,
1950, for the subject proposed additions to our Sewage Disposal
Plant.
There is also transmitted herewith a copy of a letter from Harry N,
Jenks, Consulting Sanitary Engineer, in which he recommends the a-
ward of the contract to the low bidder, Mr. Rolandi, if this contrac-
tor is properly bonded. Having made an analysis of the bids and con-
sidering the qualifications of the bidders, it is our recommendation

Dear Mr, Fitch:

Subject: Award of Contract
Works Enlargements
Sewage
In connection with the low bid of F. S. Rolandi, Jr.,
Ins., for the construction of the City of Burlingame sewage works
enlargements, I have received and reviewed the statement of exper-
ience submitted with their letter to you of September 21, 1950.
From this statement it appears that Mr. Rolandi and his
associate Mr. John R. Blondin should be sufficiently qualified
to undertake the work of construction on which their firm has bid.
Assuming that this firm is properly bonded and otherwise
financially capable, it appears that F. S. Rolandi, Jr., Inc., is
in fact the lowest responsible bidder and consequently eligible for
the award of the construction contract for the City of Burlingame
sewage works enlargements.
Very truly yours,
HARRY N. JENKS
