HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 026-1950RESOLUTION NO. 26-50 ACCEPTING LEASE OF SOUTHERN PACIFIC C01,1PANY FOR PARKING AREA NORTH OF BROADWAY WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company has agreed to lease to the City of Burlingame, an area of ground north of Broadway in the City, approximately as appears within those certain red lines on the map attached hereto; and, WHEREAS, the said premises are to be used for auto parking which will be for the advantage and benefit of the citizens of the City; NOV , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the lease be accepted pursuant and according, to all of the terms thereof as appears in the said lease attached; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized for, and in behalf of the City Council to execute said lease. ckkilti I, Acl Dan R . Hunt Chairman Off Street City of Burlingame, Dear Mr. Hunt: Parking Committee California Referring further to your letter of MY 13, regarding possible lease of our property at Broadway Station, Burlingame, for auto parking. This has received favorable consideration of our management and we are attaching duplicate counterparts of proposed lease agreement at nominal rental to cover. If satisfactory, please arrange for execu- tion both counterparts on behalf of this city. Ex- ecuting officers should also initial sections 20, 21, and 22 in the margin opposite same, after which papers should be returned for our further attention. We invite your attention to the fact that we do not own Right of Nay to Broadway and assume you will wish to arrange with o:,mer of the strip for access to the strip provided for in this lease.
