PROP06&D AhF..wDMt,-'.vTS ( Section 1926 Zoning Ordinance - Regulations for Rml Districts) The Planning Consultant addressed the Rhair and advised that•to comply with the suggestions offered by Commissioners at the meeting of August 26, 1957, the following revisions were prepared: 10 111Y° Lot Limitations and Lot Requirements (Paragraph Aoa 4) This paragraph was rewritten to provide that "all lots or parcels of land shall have a frontage on a public street of not less than 25 feet" ..... and, in addition, to provide that "the Planning Commission may approve of an easement or easements providing ingress from and egress to a public street in lieu of such street frontage".......... 20 In the matter of regulating "public hospitals", the Planning Consultant submitted for Commission consideration a suggested Ordinance "Adopting Section 1932.1 Of The Ordinance Code Of The City Of Burlingame Regulating Uses Within Public Hospital Districts". RESUBDIVISIUA m A Portion Of The .Lands of R� P. Etienne Properties, Chairman Portia, at his 'request, was excused from the hearing on the above matter. Commissioner Henderson was appointed Chairman pro tempore. Cyrus J. McMillan, attorney, representing Mr. R . P . Etienne, ad- vised that certain uaforseen complications prevented hr. i�tienne from procaeedin6 with the full development of the Etienne Industrial Park Sub- division. As an alternate proposal., Hr. V : 55 p o mi RECESS A recess of five minutes was called before the Study heeting>, Scheduled for this date, was convened Q1 LL `.►_; URDER Study meeting called to ordeb at 9:00 p,m., ; Chairman Martin presiding, FUR STUDY: to RESUBDIVISsU.,4 Lots 15a 16 and Portion Lot 14, Block 3, Glenwood Park Subdivision. Aicholas Po Daphne, 1560 Barroilhet Avenue, Owner. An application to resubdivide the above property thereby establishing two parcels. The Planning Consultant reported that he had inspected the property and found there to be ample space for a second building site. However, because of the peculiar shape of the land, there is a problem relative to set -back lines. The proposed second lot will front on two streets, i.e., Barroilhet Avenue and Cypress Avenue where 15 foot front set -backs have been established by ordinance and by prior use. Mr. Diann stated that the owner must determine on which atreet the property is to face 'so that front and rear set -back lines can be set. In ensuing discussion, the City Attorney observed that the City°s ordinance code defines the proper procedure for the establishment of set- back lines and recommended that the owner of the property follow said procedure, Chairman PFlartin advised Mr. Basil `Waters Jr.,, civil engineer, rep- resenting the applicant, that the public hearing on the resubdivision would be held at the regular meeting of the Commission, September 30, 19579 at which time the matter of the set -back lines must be settled. —3— 2. After reviewing the proposal, members referred the matter to `t;ne meeting of September 30, 1957, for action. 4. COIf�j•,UwICATI©A m Town of Hillsborough re: Leo Krlloff property. A letter dated August 28, 1957 was read from Borman J. Stlene, City Manager, Town of Iillsborough, referring to an action of the City of Burlingame .Manning Commission on December 27, 1954, whereby hr. Leo Kriloff was granted permission to resubdivide, Into 2 parcels, property located at 2315 Easton Drive ( Lot 12, Block 57,, Easton j�ddition iio a 6) . The letter stated further that hr. Kriloff desires to construct the access way into the rear lot on this nropert;y over a parcel of land which he owns which .fronts on Jackling Drive in Hillsborough. The `town of Hillsborough is not prepared to grant Mr. Kriloff permission to do such contruction and requests that the Planning Commission consider re- voking the action which permitted the original resubdivision. Members discussed the problem with Mr. Kriloff, in attendance, and agreed to refer the matter to the regular meeting, September 30, 1957, for further consideration. The Planning Consultant was requested to ex- tend an invitation to Mr. Stiene.to be present on that date. 5. PARKLiG PLAA o First Church of Christ Scientist, Burlingame. hr. C. Jo Hooper, representing the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Burlingame, discussed informally with Commissionors a plan to enli;rge the Church parking area by extending said area to a parcel of land imm mediately.adjoining the Church property. Chairman Martin referred to the signs posted by the Citizens" Com- mittee For Peninsula Highways advertising opposition to the proposed routings of the Junipero Serra Freeway extensions and questioned the City Attorney and the Planning Consultant regarding the legality of -4 such a display within the C.Ity of Burlingame. The Planning Consultant stated that the signs were in violation of the City9s ordinances and it was his understanding that the necessary steps were to be taken to cause their removal.
