HomeMy WebLinkAboutMin - PC - 1954.08.12BURLINGAME CITY PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES Study Meeting August 12, 1954 Present Absent Commissioners: Commissioners: Diederichsen Stivers Henderson Martin Mattock Mitchell Simonds The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Roy Henderson. 1. Variance in zoning, Ltpt 24, Block 15, Burlingame Grove, to permit construction of 5 unit Apartment (E.A. Ohlund owner -builder) withdrawn. The Chairman requested the manner to be conditioned as a matter of rezoning rather than a variance to build. The Chairman requests a study meeting to be held for the purpose of discussing this part of Burlingame for the rezoning. 2. Re: Subdivision of Lots 12 and 20, Glenwood Park. It was moved by Commissioner Mitchell and seconded by Commissioner Simonds, and passed, that the application be granted. Mr. Frank R. Snippenberg, owner of said property, was present. 3. Re: Permit to conduct business of Chiropractor at 1239 Oak Grove Avenue. This matter was laid over for approval on August 26th, 1954. 4. A communication was received from the San Mateo County Public Health Department re application to operate a Boarding House for (4) aged persons. Inform County Health Department that no formal application had been made to his body. 5. Study changes to be made of certain sections of M-1 Districts (Light Industrial) permissive uses. George Mann, Planning Consultant, presented proposed suggested changes. Mr. Fitzgerald, Vice President of San Mateo Industrial Development Association was present. C. B. Allen expressed his opinion on proper industrial development and ordinances. Mr. Zeigler, Industrial Development ''ngineer, also expressed, his opinion on proper industrial zoning as to their nature. The Secretary was requested to get a report from the Building In- spector re the Baptist Church building under construction. Planning Comm.
