Mann Martin Simonds Stivers The meeting was called to order by Chairman Roy Henderson at 8:00 P.M. A communication addressed to the City Engineer, 8•om the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, requesting interested parties to be pres- ent at a meeting to be held in the San Mateo County Court House, on Tuesday, September 21st, at 2:30 P. M. regarding matters of Tract De- velopment. Planning Consultant Mann announced that a meeting with all City de- partment heads and the Planning Commission would be held on October 6th, at 7:30 P. M. in the City Council Chambers. The following Variance applications were presented: 1 - A Use Permit application to erect and operate a gas station by the Standard Oil Co. to be located on the northeasterly corner of E1 Camino Real service road and Darius Drive, Burlingame, in the new Mills Development, was read. The matter was laid over for a public hearing on September 27th at 8:00 P. M. 2 - A Variance application for a permit to conduct a Chiropractic office by Dr. Kramer, located at 1230 Vancouver Avenue. A petition signed by numerous persons residing on Vancouver Aven- ue and favoring the application, was presented and read. The matter was discussed in detail with Dr. Kramer and members of the commission, and held over for a public hearing on September 27, 1954• 3 - A,:proposed Ordinance dealing with the regulation and construc- tion of proper drainage control was presented to the Commission for study. The matter was discussed and laid over for further consideration. 4 - The City Engineer and Planning Consultant presented a proposed plan for widening Paloma Avenue, north of Broadway. The plan will be taken under consideration by the Commission and present- ed to the property owners of the district for their consideration at a later date 5 - A request was received from the Recreation Commission regarding additional recreation facilities in the new Mills Development, and discussed.
