MINUTES Study Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P. M. by Chairman Henderson.
1. Proposed plan to construct a Club House was presented by rep-
resentatives of the Burlingame Women's Club. The subject mat-
ter was referred to the October 25th regular meeting.
2. Secretary Diederichsen rendered a brief report of a meeting
held with City Department heads on Wednesday evening, October
6, 1954-
3. Application for a variance to construct a lanai and patio on
property known as 1700 Quesada Way and owned by Mr. A. Merrill
Holman, was read. The matter was discussed and referred to
the October 25th regular meeting.
4. Application for a use permit to conduct a day nursery in a
building to be moved from 1408 Howard Avenue to 700 Peninsula
Avenue and owned by Mr. Leo Fagan, was discussed. The matter
was referred to the regular meeting of October 25th.
5. Application for a variance to construct apartments at 1129
Paloma Avenue, by Mr. John Mackesy of 1535 Columbus Avenue,
was discussed. The subject was referred to the next regular
meeting to be held on October 25, 1954-
6. Fire Chief Moorby appeared before the Commission requesting
certain changes or additions to Building Codes in the Indus-
trial areas. After a general discussion'on the above matter,
Commissioner Mattock made a motion, s econded by Commissioner
Simonds, that ths request be considered. Motion was carried.
After a general discussion and there being no further business, the
meeting adjourned at 10:00 P. M.
