ORDERING WORK TO IMPROVE CERTAIN STREETS AND
SEWERS WITHIN THE SUBDIVISION KNOWN AS
"BURLINGAME MANOR" WITHIN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME,
AND PARTICULARLY LA MESA DRIVE, ALTURAS DRIVE
AND MARGARITA AVENUE.
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
,California;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Burlingame, County
iof San Mateo, State of California, did on the 29th day of August,
1951, adopt its Resolution of Intention, No. 50-51, to order
therein described work done and made in Burlingame Manor, in said
city, to which reference is hereby made to Resolution No. 50-51
for a particular description of the improvements to be made, the
boundaries of the assessment district, and the bonds to be issued;;
and,
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention, No. 50-51, has been
duly published twice in the Burlingame Advance, a newspaper of
general circulation, in the time, form and manner as required by
law, as shown by the affidavit of publication of said Resolution
of Intention on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City
of Burlingame; and,
W:iEREAS, after the adoption of said Resolution of Intention,1
No. 50-51, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention,
headed "Notice of Improvement," were duly and legally posted in
the time, form, manner, locations and number as required by law,
as appears upon the affidavit of posting said notices, on file in
the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Burlingame; and,
WHEREAS, after the adoption thereof, notices of the adoption
of said Resolution of Intention were duly mailed to a 11 persons
owning real property proposed to be assessed for the improvements
described in said Resolution of Intention, No. 50-51, according to
to the names and addresses of such owners, as the same appear
on the last equalized assessment roll for the 1950-1951 taxes
prior to the date of such mailing, or as known to the City Clerk
of the City of Burlingame, which said notices were duly mailed
in the time, form and manner as required by law; and,
WHEREAS, said City Council of the City of Burlingame having
duly received and considered evidence oral and documentary con-
cerning the jurisdictional facts in this proceeding and concern-
ing the necessity for the contemplated work and improvement and
the benefits to be derived therefrom; and no written protests or
objections were made to the proposed improvements and district to
be assessed, the grades at which said work was to be done, or
the bonds to be issued to pay the costs and expenses thereof, and
all persons interested desiring to be heard were given an
opportunity to be heard, and all matters and things to said
proposed work and improvements were duly heard and considered by
said Council, and all protests were overruled, and said City
Council of said City of Burlingame having now acquired juris-
diction to order the proposed work and improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, said City Council does hereby find, deter-
mine and order as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require the
work and improvements set forth and described in Resolution of
Intention, No. 50-51, passed on the 29th day of August, 1951, to
be necessary, and the plans and specifications therein referred
to, to be done and made.
2. That the plans and specifications for said improvement
under said Resolution of Intention be, and they are hereby,
finally adopted and approved as the plans and specifications to
which said work and improvements shall be done as called for in
said Resolution of Intention.
3. That the Engineers:, estimates of the itemized and total
estimated costs and expenses for said work of street and sewer
improvements, under said Resolution of Intention be, and it is
finally adopted and approved, as the Engineer's total and detaile
estimate of the costs and expenses of said work and improvements.
4. That the boundaries of the assessment district, and the
grades to which said work and improvements are to be constructed
shall be those set forth and described in said Resolution of
Intention, No. 50-51, now on file in the Office of the City
Clerk, and in the plans and specifications therein referred to,
reference to which is hereby made for all further particulars.
5. That the City Council does hereby order the work and
improvements to be done and completed as described in and in
accordance with said Resolution of Intention, No. 50-51, on
file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City, reference to
which is hereby made for a more particular description of said
improvements, pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act
of 1911" and the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915."

foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 17th day of September, 1951, and adopted
by the following vote:
