HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 036-1951RESOLUTION NO. 36-51 AUTHORIZING NOTICE OF HEARING OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF BURLINGAME WHEREAS, Joseph J. Fena and Frances Z. Fens, his wife, have petitioned for the annexation of certain t erritory to the City of Burlingame, which said territory is hereinafter described and which is now within the County of San Mateo and also contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Burlingame; and, WHEREAS, the said petitioners are the owners of the entire parcel of land in said territory as shown by the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Mateo: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Monday, the 20th day of August, 1951, at the hour of eight o'clock, p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo, State of California, be, and the same are hereby fixed as the time and place where the said City Council will hear protests or objections to the proposed annexation, and any person interested therein may appear before the said City Council at the stated hour and place and show cause, if any there may be, why said territory should not be annexed; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resdlution shall be published at least once a week for two weeks prior to the hearing in the Burlingame Advance, a newspaper of general circula- tion published in the City of Burlingame; The territory hereinabove referred to is that certain r eal property situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California and more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at a point at the intersection of the southwesterly line of Alvarado Avenue and the line between Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, of the Map of Burlingame Hills Subdivision No. 2, San Mateo County, California, recorded on Page 16 of Volume 14, on the 23rd day of August, 1926, San Mateo County Records; thence proceeding from said point along the said southwesterly line of Alvarado Avenue, bearing South 550 041 East, a distance of 121.841 to the point of beginning, continuing South 550 041 East, on and along said southwesterly line of Alvarado Avenue, a distance of 82.501; thence South 340 561 Og" West, a distance of 150.311; thence North 65 091 50" West, a distance of 83.801; thence North 340 561 00" East, a distance of 165.00t; to the point of beginning.
