HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 022-1951RESOLUTION NO. 2&-51 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF BURLINGAI& WHEREAS, the Burlingame Elementary School District, a public body within the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo, State of California, having petitioned for the annexation of certain uninhabited territory to the City of Burlingame, which said territory is hereinafter described and which is within the County of San Mateo and contiguous to the existing corporate limits of the City of Burlingame; and WHEREAS, the said School District is the owner of not less than one fourth of the land in said territory by area, and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Mateo; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Monday, the 4th day of June, 1951, at the hour of eight o'clock, p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Burlingame# County of San Mateo, State of California, be, and the same are hereby fixed as the time and place where the said City Council will hear protests or objections to the proposed annexation, and any person interested therein may appear before the said City Council at the stated hour and place and show cause, if any there may be, why said territory should not be annexed; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be published at least once a week for two weeks prior to the hearing in the Burlingame Advance, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Burlingame; The territory hereinabove referred to is that certain real 1-property situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California and more particularly described as follows All that certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying, and being contiguous to the City of Burlingame, and in the County of San Mateo, State of California, and bounded and particularly described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at the most westerly corner of the lands described in deed from Panama Realty Co., a corporation, to Burlingame Elementary School District, which deed was dated March 10, 1930, and recorded March 270 1930, in Volume 458 of Official Records of San Mateo County, California, at page 425; thence from said point of beginning southerly, easterly, and southerly along the westerly and southwesterly boundary of the lands so conveyed to said School District the following courses and distances: S 640 491 E 99,26 feet; N 430 311 30" E 51,84 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned course on the are of a curve to the right, having a radius of 120.00 feet and a central angle of 690 061, and are distance of 144,72 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve on the are of a curve to the right, having a radius of 195.00 feet and a central angle of 670 59', an are distance of 231,37 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve S 000 361 30" W 112,57 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned course on the are of a curve to the right, having a radius of 220,00 feet and a central angle of 170 521 3011, an arc distance of 68.63 feet; thence S 500 46' E to the intersection of said School District boundary with the Corporate Limits Line, or Boundary, of the Town of Hillsborough; thence leaving the boundary of said Burlingame Elementary School District and along said boundary of the Town of Hillsborough, on a line which is parallel with, and distant 50.00 feet at right angles westerly, from the westerly line of Block 5, as shown on that certain map entitled, "MAP OF BURLINGAME HILLS", which was recorded in Book 9 of Maps at page 2, Records of San Mateo County, California, and continuing along said line and its production northerly to the intersection of said production with the centerline of Summit Drive as the latter is shown on the above described map of Burlingame Hills; thence continuing along the boundary of the Town of Hillsborough on the centerline of said Summit Drive to its inter- section with the centerline of Easton Drive as shown on said map; thence leaving the boundary of the Town of Hillsborough and said centerline intersection N 310 251 07" E 15.00 feet radially to a point of compound curvature on the southwesterly line of Block 3 as shown on said map of Burlingame Hills; thence along the south- westerly, westerly, and northerly line of said Block 3 the following courses and distances: from the last mentioned point on the arc of a curve to the right, having a radius of 85.08 feet and a central angle of 1800 001, an are distance of 267.29 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve on the are of a curve to the left, having a radius of 120.63 feet and a central angle of 520 501 32", an arc distance of 111.25 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve on the are of a curve to the right, having a radius of 135.04 feet and a central angle of 570 49t 32", an arc distance of 136,29 feet to a point of reverse curvature on the northerly line of said Block 3, which point is on the boundary, or corporate limits line of the City of Burlingame, and the radial bearing to which point bears N 360 241 07" E; thence leaving said northerly line of Block 3 along said boundary of said City of Burlingame N 540 49' 15" W 142,42 feet to a point thereon, said point being a point of reverse curvature on the easterly line of Block 2 as shown on that certain map entitled, "BURLINGAME HILLS NO. 2, SAN MATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA", which was filed August 23, 1926, in Book 14 of Maps at pages 18 and 19, Records of San Mateo County, California, and the radial bearing to which last mentioned point bears N 390 381 28" E; thence leaving the boundary of the City of Burlingame southerly and westerly along the southeasterly and southerly line of said Block 2 on the arc of a curve to the right, having a radius of 15.00 feet and a central angle of 1010 241 13", an are distance of 26,55 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve on the are of a curve to the right, having a radius of 90.63 feet and a central angle of 700 221 26 , an are distance of 111.32 feet; thence continuing along the southerly line of said Block 2, being the northerly and westerly line of Summit Drive, tangent to the last mentioned curve on the are of a curve to the left, having a radius of 115.08 feet and a central angle of 1800 001, an are distance of 361.53 feet to a point of reverse curvature on said westerly line of Summit Drive as shown on the map of Burlingame Hills above described; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve on the arc of a curve to the right, having a radius of 385.00 feet and a central angle of 90 561 23", an are distance of 66.79 feet to the intersection of the southwesterly line of Summit Drive (as shown on map of Burlingame Hills above described) with the southwesterly line of Canyon Road as shown on the above described map of Burlingame Hills No. 2, said last mentioned point being on the boundary of the lands conveyed to the Burlingame Elementary School District above described; thence leaving the southwesterly line of Canyon Road along the boundary of the lands of said School District and tangent to the last mentioned curve northerly and westerly on the are of a curve to the left, having a radius of 47.64 feet and a central angle of 960 081, an arc distance of 79,93 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve on the arc of a curve to the right, having a radius of 105.00 feet and a central angle of 580 021, an are distance of 106.35 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve N 860 441 301, W 33.60 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned course on the are o2 a curve to the left, having a radius of 100.00 feet and a central angle of 660 031 30", an are distance of 115.29 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve S 270 121 W 76.89 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned course on the are of a curve to the right, having a radius of 225.00 feet and a central angle of 110 061, an are distance of 43.59 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve S 380 181 W 80.77 feet; thence tangent to.the last mentioned course on the are of a curve to the left, having a radius of 475.00 feet and a central angle of 60 411 301t, an are distance of 55.47 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned curve S 310 361 30" VI 41.40 feet; thence tangent to the last mentioned course on the arc of a curve to the right having a radius of 80.00 feet and a central angle of 550 231 30�', an are distance of 77.34 feet to the point of beginning.
