AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DEFEND AND PROSECUTE
IN BEHALF OF THE CITY ALIy LITIGATION N001 PENDING OR
WHICH MAY BE INSTITUTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACTION
OF THE CITY OF MILLBRAE AGAINST THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AND TO ASSOCIATE COUNSEL, IF NECESSARY.
WHEREAS, the City of Millbrae has commenced litigation
against the City of Burlingame to enjoin the annexation to the
City of Burlingame of certain land known as the land of the
Peninsula Hospital District; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to defend
against -such litigation and protect the interests of the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered
that the City Attorney be authorized to take all necessary
legal processes to defend and protect the interests of the City
of Burlingame, and to institute, if it be necessary, any action
therefor.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be hereby
authorized to associate counsel, if deemed necessary, to make
this order effective.

the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council held on the 18th day of June, 1951, and adopted
thereafter by the following vote:
