HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 014-1951RESOLUTION NO. 14-51 AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS IUR ADETTIONAL WORK TO BE DONE AT THE SEWAGE DISPOSAL PIANT. WHEREAS, the consulting engineer and the city engineer have recommended to the City Council that certain adcl tions to the Sewage Plant enlargement be provided for mhile the work is in progress and, WHEREAS, it appears that the cost of doing the extra work will come well within the fluids provided for carrying on the extension improvement; NOW, therefore, be it r esolved and it is hereby directed that the additional work be done as suggested by the consulting engineer and the city engineer as an extra to the contract, and that the same be paid for out of the avEi lable funds set apart for the entire project; Be it further resolved that the work herein referred to is set forth in the attached exhibit made a part hereof. ,-,�194tX 4 C- L Dan R—move, Jr. -117layor I, HERBERT K. S. bid Tate Titg of -gnrIinpm-P SAN MATEO COUNTY CALIFORNIA February 5, 1951 Honorable City Council, City of Burlingame Burlingame, California Gentlemen: Re: Recommended Additions to the Sewage Viorks Enlargements Submitted herewith for your approval is a summary of nine ad- ditional proposed jobs to be added to the above mentioned con- tract. The total amount of cost involved from preliminary estimates of the additional work orders amounts to y18,135.00. As you will note from the summary attached, the total amount budgeted is 0142, 000., of which the State matches vvi th 4"71, 000 under Chapter 20 funds. 'with these additions, if approved, the total cost of the project will amount to approximately °140,000. Kr. Harry N. Jenks, Consulting Sanitary Engineer, and myself have made a study of these recommended additions and have come to an agreement on their advantages. Also submitted is a statement from Tdr.
