REQUESTING CONSENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF SAN MATEO COUNTY TO THE EXERCISE OF EXTRA
TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION
BURLINGAME MANOR N0, 1

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
California, that
WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Council to undertake
appropriate special assessment and assessment bond proceedings
for the acquisition and construction of the following improve-
ments:
(a) The improving of Margarita Avenue opposite Lots 19
and 20, Block 2, Burlingame Manor No, 1, by grading, consisting
of excavation and the construction of embankment within said
street and within an easement to be acquired adjacent to the
northwesterly side thereof, and by constructing and reconstruct-
ing within said street base pavement with asphaltic armor coat
wearing surface and Portlana cement concrete curbs and gutters,
and by constructing and reconstructing therein standard under-
ground and storm drain pipes and standard catch basins capped with
cast iron frames and covers; and the acquisition of an easement
100 feet wide northwest of and parallel to the northwest line
of Margarita Avenue opposite Lot 20 and a portion of Lot 19 for
the construction and maintenance of said improvements.
(b) The construction of all work and the acquisition
of all lands and easements auxiliary thereto and necessary to
complete the same.
WHEREAS, all of the costs thereof will be assessed upon
properties wholly within the boundaries of the
WHEREAS, a portion of said acquisitions to be had and work
to be done are within unincorporated territory outside the bound-
aries of the City of Burlingame and within the boundaries of the

County of San Mateo;
WHEREAS, said acquisitions to be had and improvements to
be done are of such a character that they will directly and pe-
culiarly affect property not only within the boundaries of the
City of Burlingame but also unincorporated territory in the
County of San Mateo outside the limits of the City of Burlingame,
and the purposes sought to be accomplished can best be accomp-
lished by a single comprehensive scheme of work;
WHEREAS, there has been filed with this Council a pro-
posed form of Resolution of Intention to be used in said proceed-
ings; and
WHEREAS, the public interest, convenience and necessity
will be served by the making of said acquisitions and improve-
ments;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That request be, and the same is hereby, made of the
Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, it being the
legislative body having jurisdiction over the unincorporated
territory in which a portion of said acquisitions and improvements',
are to be had and taken, grant to this Council its consent, ex-
pressed by resolution, to order said acquisitions and improve-
ments, and to assess the costs thereof wholly upon properties
within the City of Burlingame, and its approval of said proposed
Resolution of Intention.
2. That the City Clerk of this City is hereby directed
to file with the County Clerk of San Mateo County a certified
copy of this Resolution, together with a copy of said proposed
Resolution of Intention.
