APPROVING AND ACCEPTING OFFER OF MILLS ESTATE
INCORPORATED LAND COMPANY FOii USE OF AREA FOR
INSTALLING AND MAINTAINING A SIGN TO BE USED
BY THE LOCAL SERVICE CLUBS
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame
that the permit of Mills Estate Incorporated Land Company to use
a certain area in the City of Burlingame for the purpose of
erecting and maintaining a sign, according to the terms and
specifications set forth in the offer of said company, dated
February 29, 1952, be, and the same are hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor be authorized for,
and in behalf of the City Council, to sign the approval of said
offer.

the foregoing resolution w:s introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council held on the 17th day of Iviarch, 1952, and adopted
thereafter by the following vote:

This will confirm

to the billboard or sign
it own cost and expense,
attached hereto and made
February 29,
1952
the oral understanding between Mills Estate
and the City of Burlingame with reference
to be erected and maintained by the City at
and to be located where indicated on the sketch
part hereof.
This board is to be used primarily for listing service groups
or clubs of the City of Burlingame, and in addition thereto is to
contain whatever appropriate display will promote the best interests
of the City. The general character of the billboard has been agreed
to by us. No substantial or material change is to be made in the
billboard without our approval.
All landscaping and maintenance of the land adjacent to the
area is to be done by the City at its own cost. All wiring and main-
tenance of the signboard and other equipment needed or used in con-
nection with the illumination of the signboard is to be at the cost of
the City. The signboard and all landscaping will be kept and maintained
in good order and condition without expense to us.
The City is hereby given permission to remove the stumps of three
dead trees located near the site of the signboard.
This agreement may be terminated by us on giving ninety (90) days'
notice by mail to the City, within which said period of time the City
will remove the signboard from the premises.
This agreement is to be effective on receipt of a copy of the
agreement approved by the City.

Dear Mr. White:
Thank you for your letter of March 25, 1952,
enclosing Resolution No. 14-52 in connection with the
sign to be erected and maintained in accordance with
the Agreement dated February 29, 1952.
So that there will be complete understanding
of the arrangement, I have had prepared and enclose
herewith three blueprints showing the location of the
sign. Will you be good enough to attach one copy to
the Agreement which is in your possession. The extra
copies of the print are being sent to you for your
convenience.
