HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 071-1952RESOLUTION NO. 71-52 DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF BURLINGAME OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "BURLINGVIRW TERRACE" AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE WHERE ANY PERSON MAY APPEAR AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council requesting; the annexation to the City of Burlingame of certain new uninhabited territory, the boundaries of which are in said petition and hereinafter described, and which is designated as "Burlingview 'terrace," and which said new territory is situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Burlingame; and WHEREAS, the said petition was signed by all of the owners of the land of said area to be annexed and which said owners represent all of the assessed value of said territory according to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of San Mateo County; NOW, THEREFORE, Monday, the 24th day of November, 1952, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo, State of (California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the City Council of said City and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. Johnson and Ethel H. John- son, his wife, which deed was dated November 30, 1950 and which deed was recorded December 1, 1950, in Volume 1985 of Official Records of San Mateo County, California, at Page 546 and lands described in deed from Panama Realty Co., a corporation, to Charles A. Wi ig and Elizabeth S. Wing, his wife, by deed dated February 28, 1946 and recorded March 16, 1946, in Volume 1242 of Official Records of San Mateo Coun- ty, California at Page 364, and on the arc of a curve to the right, the tangent to which at last mentioned point bears N 87000' E, having a radius of 80 feet and a central angle of 10044'35", an arc distance of 15.00 feet; thence continuing along said boundary line of lands of John- son and lands of Wing the follow- ing courses and distances: S 24035' 30" W 316.77 feet; S 32051'30" E 284.46 teet to a point on the north- erly boundary line of a proposed 40 foot road;
