HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 074-1952RESOLUTION NO. 74-52 GRANTING THE APPLICATION FOR A VARIANCE IN LAND USE OF LOT 1B, BLOCK 3 AS DESIGNATED ON THE MAP ENTITLED SUPPLEMENTARY MAP NO. 1 TO SUPPLEMENT- ARY MAP NO. 1, TOWN OF BURLINGAME, WHICH MAP WAS FILED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ON JANUARY 20, 1906, IN BOOK C OF MAPS AT PAGE 21 AND A COPY ENTERED IN BOOK 4 OF MAPS AT PAGE 6 WHEREAS, William J. Crosby and Patricia A. Crosby, his wife, have petitioned for a variance in the use of Lot 13, 3lock 3 as designated on the Map entitled. Supplementary Map No. 1 to Supplementary Map No. 1, 'Town of Burlingame, which map was filed in the Office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on January 20, 1906, in Book C of Maps at Page 21 and a copy entered in Book 4. of Maps at Page 6; and WHEREAS, the said petition was referred to the Planning Commission for its consideration and action, and the said Planning Commission having at its regular meeting on September 25, 1952, conducted a public hearing after notice thereof duly given as required by law, and thereafter determined that a grant of the variance be recommended upon the following conditio. 1. The building be for administrative or office use only. 2. The entrance and exit to be on Park Road. 3. No entrance or exit on E1 Camino Real. 4. That the structure be not less than forty (40) feet from the easterly line of E1 Camino Real. 5. That the parking area as specified on the plot plan submitted with the application be limited to the parking of cars of office personnel only. 6. There will be no advertising signs place on El Camino Real. 7. That landscaping and screening on El Camino Real be installed subject to the approval of the Burlingame Park Super- intendent. WHEREAS, the City Council having fixed October 20, 1952, as the time for a public hearing before the City Council, and on said date such public hearing was held after notice thereof given as required by law, and no person appeared protesting the granting of said variance, and the City Council acting upon the .recommendation of the Planning Commission granted the variance subject to the limitations and conditions as set forth in the in the Planning Commission's recommendation with the additional limitation that the improvements contemplated must be commenced prior to the expiration of sixty (60) days from the passage of this resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered that the application for a grant of variance for the use of the property hereinabove mentioned be granted to William J. Crosby and ?atricia A. Crosby upon the following conditions: 1. The building be for administrative or office use only. 2. The entrance and exit to be on Park Road. 3. No entrance or exit on E1 Camino Real. 4. That the structure be not less than forty (40) feet from the easterly line of E1 Camino Real. 5. That the parking area as specified on the plot plan submitted with the application be limited to the parking of cars of office personnel only. 6. There will be no advertising signs placed on hl Camino Real. 7. That landscaping and screening on El Camino Real be installed subject to the approval of the Burlingame Park Superintendent. 8. That the work or construction must be commenced within sixty (60) days from the date hereof, and failure to do so shall be cause for the granting of this variance to be of no force or effect. r} Andrew C .
