RESOLUTION NO. 76 - 52
EMPLOYING ENGINEERS AND ATTORNEYS
CHAPIN AVENUE IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 524�8
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
California, that
WHEREAS, at the request of this Council, the engineering
firm of E. P. Wilsey Co., Inc., Burlingame, California, has
i submitted to this Council a letter dated September 22, 1952
i
containing its proposal for doing and performing all engineering
work necessary for and the providing of plans and specifications,
diagram , quantities and costs estimate, and
proposal form, and, establishing a center line, in the project

for the widening of Chapin Avenue between El Camino Real and
Primrose Road;
WHEREAS, at the request of this Council, the law firm of
Messrs. K_irkbride, Wilson, Harzfeld. & Wallace, Bond. Attorneys,
San Mateo, California, has submitted. to this Council a letter
wherein they propose to perform all legal services necessary
for conducting assessment and assessment bond proceedings for
financing the cost of widening said Avenue, and also proceedings
for the acquisition of the property necessary for such wid.enina;
WHEREAS, this Council has duly considered each of said
proposals and the public interest and convenience will be served
by accepting them;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That this City employ the engineering firm of E. P.
Wilsey Co., Inc. in accordance with its said, proposal of
September 22, 1952, for performing the services therein provided
for the compensation therein stated, and that the City Clerk
j endorse the acceptance of said proposal on a copy of said. letter
and, return it to said engineering firm.
2. That this City employ the law firm of Kirkbride, Wilsoi
Harzfeld & Wallace in accordance with its said proposal for
performing the services therein provided for the compensation
therein stated, and that the City Clerk endorse the acceptance
of said proposal on a copy of said letter and return it to said
law firm.
I. Herbert K. White, City Clerk, do hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted. at
a regular meeting of the City Council, held on the 17th day
of November, 1952, by the following vote:
AYES, Councilmen: Byrd., Simonds, Love, Morgan, Atwater
NOES, Councilmen: None.
